In special industries such as petrochemicals, electricity, and mining, equipment control systems need to meet strict requirements such as explosion-proof, anti-corrosion, and high stability. Thin film switches have become the preferred choice in many hazardous environments due to their strong structural sealing, spark free and wear-resistant operation. However, there are differences in applicability between different design structures.

In explosion-proof requirements, the key is to avoid generating electrical sparks during operation. The non mechanical contact thin film switch using flexible silver paste circuit combined with conductive carbon particle contact structure can achieve arc free operation and ensure intrinsic stability. At the same time, the overall panel needs to be produced with flame-retardant materials to avoid open flames in high-temperature environments.

In terms of anti-corrosion performance, the outer material needs to have excellent acid, alkali, and oil resistance characteristics. The common choice is corrosion-resistant polyester film, which adopts a fully enclosed sealing design to prevent corrosive liquids from infiltrating the internal circuit. The conductive material in the key area also needs to have antioxidant properties, and the silver paste needs to have long-term electrochemical stability.

The sealing adhesive layer is another key factor in ensuring protective performance. Using chemical resistant pressure-sensitive adhesive or hot melt tape structure, combined with reinforced bonding design, effectively prevents sealing failure from causing short circuits or corrosion.

At the structural level, avoid dead corners in grooves during design to prevent liquid accumulation and facilitate cleaning and daily protection. In some application scenarios, anti-static functions need to be combined to reduce the risk of explosion caused by frictional charging.

Explosion proof and anti-corrosion film switches are often used in flammable and explosive places, workshops with high concentrations of corrosive gases, or ship control systems. They require strict reference to national electrical standards for structural design and production inspection.
